Dr. Tony Jones - Crawford Long Middle
Crawford Long Middle School's Counselor Dr. Tony Jones is always looking out for the students at Long. Always providing opportunities. Shannon Edwards - Toney Elementary
Under Superintendent Dr. Horton, Dekalb County has started athletics in the elementary schools. Last school year Toney Elementary had very little participation from the students. The County thought it was best not to include Toney this year. However Dr. Satterfield and Coach Shannon Edwards said yes we will. Ms. Edwards organized the students and parents and made it happen. Ms. Edwards called all of the parents as well as challenged the staff to come out to support the sporting events. The County issued uniforms did not fit the kids so Ms. Edwards bought uniforms for the kids. Athletics at Toney is now thriving. Congratulations Ms. Edwards for being selected as March's Educator of the Month and thank you for going well over the call of duty.
